Vision Statement:
Establish the India Center at UCF as the nation’s preeminent location for the study of India’s role in the world today.
Mission Statement:
The India Center at UCF broadens the awareness and understanding of contemporary India. The India Center promotes the study of India’s role in the world today through partnerships, scholarships, research, education, and outreach to the Indian community in Florida and nationally.
Goals:
- Organize events focused on India that are open to the UCF community and the public
- Work with the UCF Foundation to increase fundraising to fund an endowed chair position and for a full-time associate director
- Build partnerships with institutions in India for joint research
- Build partnerships with the Indian community in Central Florida
- Connect with think tanks working on India
- Support UCF faculty and student research on India
- Raise public awareness and interest about the India Center
