Phil Peters is a professor in the Nicholson School of Communication and Media. He earned his M.A. in Theatre Design and Technology from the Universtiy of Montana and went on to be a film production designer and computer game producer/designer for over twenty years. Including the Emmy award-winning series Northern Exposure, Peters has been a part of numerous other film projects.
Some of his current academic areas of research include digital art installations as applied to environmental conservation efforts and historic film production design preservation. One of his ongoing projects is studying the “Art of Production Design in Indian Films & Television: An Examination of Contemporary Designers and their Creative Methodologies.”
